Gallimimus Ark Sprint
Details and Rules
Greetings survivors, Larry here bringing to you the latest from the SupremeArk news bulletin. I have just been informed that the next event happening on this server cluster is an overland race at 3:00 PM CST Sunday April 2, 2017 featuring everyone's favorite speedy dinosaur, the Gallimimus!!
This race is set to take place on the Island map, and will be a test of your dino piloting skills and knowledge of the Island's geography. The race will start at red obelisk, where contestents must first make their way into the heart of the redwoods forest to get to the first checkpoint. After getting to this checkpoint, the next location to reach is the green obelisk, where racers must make the decision of taking the shortcut through the swamp or taking the safer, but longer route around the swamp. After clearing the green obelisk checkpoint, racers must then make their way to the peaks of blue obelisk. After clearing the blye oby checkpoint, racers will have to make it up the final leg of the journey to the peak of the volcano.
Great rewards wait for those who make it, with greater rewards for those to make it first.
As expected, there just a few rules for this event.
- Only Gallimimuses can be used.
- In order to complete the race, a gallimimus must make it to each of the checkpoints and the final volcano alive and unaided by others. (This includes being picked up by a quetz or being escorted by people).
- If you die, you cannot rejoin your currently racing gallimimus. However, if your gallimimus dies, you can choose to restart at the beginning with a new gallimimus and new riders.
- Each tribe can only have one gallimimus racing at any given time.
- There is no weapon or armor limit (this time)
- During this event, pvp is not allowed at red obelisk.
- Racers must check in with the event attendent at each checkpoint and recieve a particular item to prove that you have made it to that location.
- If people wish to interfere with the racers, non-dino ground combat is allowed. Otherwise, we ask that you refrain. If someone is specifically targetting racers, or camping checkpoints to kill people, we will deal with you. Harshly.

Study the following map carefully, beginning at the red obelisk. Becoming familiar with the landscape and obstacles will put you ahead of the competition.

- A maximum quality blueprint of your choice (except tek)

- Braggin' rights
Transfer Information
Any player from any map can join in on the fun. If you are not based on the Island, you can transfer your character, items, and Gallimimus to the Island using a tribute terminal
